Apple2 - Printer Dump AppleWin vs MAME
CPM PIP LPT:=TEST.BAS
AWIN = MAME (binary identical)
both text file
Apple DOS3.3 basic source print PR#1, LIST
different
once MAME data 8th bit off, very similar,
but still different (AWIN one space in the beginning of every line)
SAJU 3327 Kor Menu 3 - printer module hangule print (3327 code)
different
once MAME data 8th bit off, similar, but better
AWIN lost the start part (name, birth date, etc...)
JUNGANG HANGUL graphic data
different
AWIN data cannot be used (start with 1 more byte, 0A why?)
MAME data as is can be correctly interpreted by Epson ESC-p interpreter
after MAME data 8th bit off, except the 1st byte(0A) in AWIN, they are same
but 8th bit off means the graphic data cannot be interpreted properly by ESC-p interpreter
so, MAME data must be used as is (cannot fix AWIN data)
Conclusion
for dot printer emulation, recommend MAME printer dump,
and do 8th bit off if the data is not the graphic data dump (3327, BASIC LIST, CP/M PIP LPT:=)
