how to speed up search (dash) in virtualbox guest
1) unity tweak tool > search > turn off blur
2) in CCSM (compize config setting manager) (tested 1510)
Desktop > Ubuntu Unity Plugin
> Background Color > Opacity change
> Enable Low Graphics Mode [V]
